New Zealand Warriors have confirmed a significant new deal.

The club has announced that fast-food chain McDonald’s has become one of the team’s sponsors ahead of the 2027 campaign.

The deal sees McDonald’s become the club’s official restaurant partner for the next three years.

The logo will be placed on the shorts for the next three years, including the Wahs’ teams competing in the NRLW, NSW Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, SG Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup.

The announcement further highlights the growth of the Auckland-based footy team, who are continuing to grow year on year.

Warriors CEO Cameron George said: “We’re so excited to welcome a company of the calibre of McDonald’s to our family of partners.

“McDonald’s is a brand that connects people, and their commitment to supporting sport from the grassroots level to the professional stage aligns perfectly with our club values.”

The new sponsor will bring an instant change to the 2027 jersey, in comparison to the one used this year.

Andrew Webster’s side will hope to clinch the club’s first-ever premiership, and if it were to happen in 2027, then the jersey would become an instant classic.

One that would be remembered for years to come, with the McDonald’s logo seen on its shorts.
