There has been a bombshell Herbie Farnworth development amid big transfer predictions on the star centre.

Farnworth is officially testing the market after he let the November 1 deadline pass without signing a contract extension with the Dolphins.

Sydney Roosters have been heavily linked with a move for the England international, while the Brisbane Broncos have also been involved in rumours, with South Sydney Rabbitohs another club included.

In a big update, Farnworth was recently been spotted talking and shaking hands with Roosters head coach Trent Robinson, which will further fuel transfer talks.

The 26-year-old has also been viewed as a long-term replacement for James Tedesco, who is a vital piece in the Roosters puzzle.

James Hooper told Rugby League Insider podcast.: “Herbie Farnworth will sign with the Sydney Roosters. You can take that to the bank, it’s better than bank interest. Herbie will be at the Roosters at the latest in 2028, depending on what happens with the Dolphins once it becomes formalised.”

The Roosters have plenty of flexibility when it comes to offering Farnworth a competitive salary, with plenty of stars leaving after the club’s NRL Premiership campaign.
