Warriors star set for exit

New Zealand Warriors are hoping to win their first NRL Premiership title in history this season.

The Auckland-based team is looking to capitalise on their strong form going into the Finals and be crowned Premiers for the first time.

The side is extremely strong across the pitch, with their depth proving to be pivotal when star players have been absent.

Therefore, minutes have been difficult to come by for certain players.

Adam Pompey is one of the players who has played big minutes for the club this season, but when everyone is fit, he is surplus to requirements.

The 28-year-old has one year to negotiate his next move, and the most likely destination is England.

The Warriors have told Pompey he can negotiate with interested parties, and there is always the possibility that the Warriors choose to let him go a year early.

In the last five games, the centre has only featured twice, which were in the Warriors’ last two fixtures. The side has incredible strength in the centre position.

Grant Anderson was signed by the Warriors from the Broncos for 2027, bolstering their outside-back options.

Pompey has been a great servant for the club, joining back in 2018 ahead of the ’19 campaign.

In his seven seasons with the club, he has made 134 appearances to date, and will be hoping to increase that number with the Finals fast approaching.

York Knights, Huddersfield Giants and Hull KR could all make a move for the Warriors star, with their centre positions not yet locked down.
