Bulldogs confirm 4 exits, 7 futures in doubt

The Bulldogs are undergoing a major reshaping following the end of their 2026 campaign.

The club has ended its 2026 season with a home defeat against the Broncos, who had a disastrous year.

The side has announced that four players will leave Belmore, but the futures of seven players remain uncertain.

Josh Curran, Lipoi Hopoi, Jonathan Su’a and Bronson Xerri are heading for the exit door at the Bulldogs, but more could follow.

Both Curran and Su’a will join NRL newcomers Perth Bears, coached by NRL icon Mal Meninga.

Reports suggest Hopoi will join Canberra Raiders, with the side from the Capital losing Corey Horsburgh and Morgan Smithies.

Finally, Xerri will be swapping the Bulldogs for the Storm, after signing a three-year deal with the side.

Kade Dykes, Samuel Hughes, Zyon Maiu’u, Kurt Mann, Jack Todd, Jake Turpin and Patrick Young are all off-contract for the ’27 campaign.

Numerous NRL rivals will be interested in the seven off-contract stars, who see their futures with the Bulldogs in major doubt.

Against the Bulldogs, there were farewells from their departing players to the club’s supporters after the clash with the Broncos.

Letting all seven players leave would be a surprise, but allowing numerous stars to depart will free up space on the salary cap.
