Major Warriors injury update provided

New Zealand Warriors have been handed a major boost ahead of the NRL Finals.

Numerous players have been sidelined with injury over recent weeks, but others are set to return amid the Wahs’ Premiership push.

Te Maire Martin is set to return from injury, after being named in the starting team to face Manly.

Andrew Webster has also provided positive news on one of the club’s stars ahead of the Finals.

“Jackson, at this stage, is all systems go for week one (of the Finals),” he said.

The major injury boost will be welcomed by the Auckland-based side, who have been without Ford since round 16.

At points in 2026, Ford was a Dally M contender, but his hopes were ended following a torn pectoral muscle.

The 28-year-old was ever-present before suffering his injury against the Cowboys, so his presence for the Finals will be welcomed with open arms.

Webster’s side has been affected by injuries throughout the campaign, and the head coach is taking precautions in the last regular-season match of the year.

With two home ties secured, the Wahs are now targeting a Minor Premiership title, for just the second time in their history.
