Gorden Tallis blasts Broncos

The Broncos’ disappointing 2026 campaign comes to an end tomorrow night against the Bulldogs.

The season has been chaotic both on and off the pitch, making their Premiership defence one to forget.

Brisbane legend Gorden Tallis has spoken about the club’s season, where it went wrong, and how they can bounce back.

Tallis said that the club need to speak to two individuals in particular to find out why they decided to leave the club, who could reveal some home truths.

“They (Haas and Te’o) are the guys they need to speak to,” he said.

“Get one of the board members to go have a coffee with Ben Te’o.

“A CEO going and talking to six guys in a leadership group six weeks ago… Why don’t you talk to the blokes that have left? To find out the truth.”

The former Broncos skipper also questioned the squad’s mentality and their physicality for 2026, after a hectic end to ’25.

“It’s been a tough year… There has been a lot of noise for them,” he said.

“They’re just trying to get to the off-season, get away and freshen up.

“It’s been a long year. There was talk about the 10-day camp, then they went over to England. There was 20-something days away. They didn’t have a long pre-season. They won a grand final. There was a lot of footy played.

“What sort of break they’ve got? I think they’re out on their feet,” he said.
