There have been multiple major transfer updates from across the NRL. Here’s the latest below.
Souths confirm deal
South Sydney have completed a contract extension for Tallis Duncan, who has penned a new three-year deal with the club. The 24-year-old has been locked down ahead of November 1, stopping him from speaking to rival NRL clubs.
Duncan will remain with the Bunnies until the end of 2030, with his contract each season worth $750,000. His breakout campaign with the club has earned him a new deal, while Souths have fended off interest from rivals.
Dragons’ transfer twist
Josh Kerr’s future with the Dragons looks in jeopardy, as the club is set to let him leave to make a move to the English Super League. The transfer will allow the Dragons to free up cash that is needed to retain Tyrell Sloan.
Sloan is set to leave the Dragons for Castleford Tigers, but his end-of-year form has seen the NRL side explore possibilities of a U-turn to keep him at the club.
News Corp has reported that Kerr’s departure will help strengthen the Dragons’ chances of keeping Sloan, who has rejuvenated himself under Dean Young.
Maroons star signing
Jojo Fifita has re-signed for the Gold Coast Titans, after featuring 20 times this year. His extension will see him remain at the club until the end of 2029, following an impressive campaign.
Fifita earned his maiden Queensland jersey this season and featured in all three Origin games. The deal is huge for the Titans, as they have locked down one of the league’s most exciting outside backs.
“It’s a huge coup to have Jojo remain a Titan, and he has gone to another level in his career this year,” Titans head coach Josh Hannay said.
Bulldogs exit close
Wests Tigers are set to complete the signing of fullback David Bryenton, who is a highly-rated up-and-coming talent.
According to ESPN, Bryenton is set to sign a two-year deal with the Tigers as he edges closer to leaving the Bulldogs.
Benji Marshall has reportedly played a huge part in completing the signing of the exciting prospect.
