Manly Sea Eagles will be hoping to go one better in 2027 and finish in the NRL’s top eight.

In 2026, Kieran Foran’s team finished just one place outside the Finals positions, after a slow start to the year.

The Sydney side were four points below the North Queensland Cowboys, who made the cut.

While they are hoping to build on their squad strength for next year, one of their key players has been rumoured with a move away from the club.

Luke Brooks, currently out with an injury, has a contract until the end of 2027, but rivals are looking at him as a future option.

He was one of Manly’s best performers this year, but he suffered a season-ending knee injury in Round 17.

The blow saw the Sea Eagles’ form take a hit, with their star not present on the field.

The playmaker has a wealth of experience in the league, having played over 250 first-grade minutes.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, speculation is growing that NRL rivals are looking at the off-contract 31-year-old.

Excitement at Manly has grown since Foran took the hot seat, helping to guide the Sea Eagles up the ladder.
