Jack Bostock could become one of the hottest names on the NRL transfer market when the November 1 deadline arrives.
The Dolphins star is contracted until the end of 2027, but rival clubs will soon have the chance to negotiate with him for 2028.
After an outstanding season that earned him NSW Origin honours and a Kangaroos World Cup call-up, the 23-year-old is expected to attract plenty of interest.
Here are five clubs that could secure his signature, ranked from least to most likely.
Parramatta Eels
Parramatta could be an interesting destination for Bostock.
With Jarome Luai joining Mitchell Moses in the halves, the Eels are building an exciting attacking side.
Bostock’s speed, height and finishing ability would make him a dangerous target for their kicking game.
Brisbane Broncos
Brisbane could also consider making a play for Bostock.
The Broncos have plenty of attacking talent, but adding a young representative outside back would strengthen their long-term plans.
Bostock could provide competition for Deine Mariner and Josiah Karapani, although Brisbane may have more pressing recruitment priorities in the forwards.
Sydney Roosters
The Roosters could be a serious contender if they enter the race.
With Mark Nawaqanitawase departing for rugby union and Daniel Tupou retiring, the premiers have some big gaps to fill out wide.
Bostock would bring youth, size and proven finishing ability.
However, the Roosters have also been linked with Dolphins centre Herbie Farnworth.
St George Illawarra Dragons
The Dragons are reportedly preparing a major offer for Bostock and could be a major threat to lure him back south.
He came through the Dragons’ junior system before moving to the Dolphins, making a return particularly attractive.
With Valentine Holmes’ future uncertain beyond 2027, Bostock could become a long-term replacement.
Dolphins
Despite growing interest, the Dolphins remain favourites to keep their rising star.
Bostock has publicly expressed his desire to stay, and contract discussions have already begun.
However, retaining him could prove expensive, with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Herbie Farnworth also approaching the end of their deals.
The Dolphins have helped turn Bostock into a representative star and will be desperate to keep him.
But unless they secure his future soon, they could face a serious battle for his signature.
