Canterbury Bulldogs General Manager Phil Gould has confirmed two more departures from the club ahead of the 2027 season.

The Bulldogs are continuing to shape their squad for next year after their 2026 campaign came to an end.

With several players coming off contract, questions have remained over who will still be at Belmore when the new season gets underway.

Gould has now provided clarity on two of those players, confirming that Jake Turpin and Kade Dykes have both left the club.

A Bulldogs fan took to social media to ask Gould directly: “Have Jake Turpin and Kade Dykes left the club?”

The Bulldogs GM responded simply: “Yes and yes.”

Both players joined Canterbury ahead of the 2026 campaign on one-year deals, but neither has secured an extension with the club.

Dykes failed to make his NRL debut for the Bulldogs, with all of his appearances coming in the NSW Cup.

The 24-year-old featured 17 times during the 2026 campaign and scored 10 tries, but was unable to force his way into Cameron Ciraldo’s first-grade side.

Turpin did receive opportunities at NRL level, making seven appearances for Canterbury this season.

The former Broncos and Roosters hooker was predominantly used off the bench and finished the year with three successive appearances against the Dragons, Panthers and Broncos.

Neither Dykes nor Turpin has yet secured a deal elsewhere for 2027, leaving both players to assess their options ahead of next season.

Their availability could attract interest over the coming weeks, particularly with November 1 approaching and clubs preparing to step up their recruitment activity ahead of the 2027 campaign.
