Herbie Farnworth is set to test the market on November 1, and a major update has emerged about the former Brisbane Broncos player.
Farnworth has raised his game since joining the Dolphins ahead of 2024, and the 26-year-old is rated the best centre in the NRL.
The England international is currently playing in the 2026 Rugby League World Cup, but his agent is working behind the scenes on his future amid plenty of links.
Farnworth is prepared to wait until after the World Cup to figure out his future, by which point rival clubs will have the opportunity to speak to him.
This has given the Sydney Roosters ample opportunity to make a huge play, and it’s now understood that the NRL Premiers are prepared to offer Farnworth a record contract for a centre. It’s also likely his figure will become a record for a fullback, with the elusive runner a potential long-term replacement for James Tedesco.
In a new twist, reports suggest the Dolphins are preparing to lose Farnworth ahead of the 2028 season.
The Brisbane Broncos have also been linked, but the Roosters remain the firm favourites to land his signature.
