Tom Trbojevic makes huge claim about the Warriors

Manly Sea Eagles superstar Tom Trbojevic was the special guest in the Fox Sports studio for the Warriors vs Panthers showdown on Friday night.

‘Turbo’ was joined by Kevin Walters and Cooper Cronk as the main pundits for the blockbuster clash, which saw the Wahs ambush Penrith in Auckland.

Their analysis on the game unsurprisingly focused on the Kiwi outfit after a memorable win, as they took a big step towards a top four finish.

While victory kept Andrew Webster’s side in third on the ladder, Trbojevic made a claim about what he believes will take the Wahs to the grand final.

“The Warriors are a great side,” he said. “They have a great pack and speed out wide. It’s always tough coming up against them.

“Playing them in Auckland is always a challenge and we (Manly) have had some big games against them over the years over there.

“They will be looking at that top two finish. If they play their finals games in New Zealand, it’s going to be hard to stop them.

“If they can play at home in those games, then they will really fancy their chances of beating anyone and making the grand final.”

As the panel further analysed the game, they focused on individual performances and a sensational display from back-rower-turned-centre Leka Halasima.

Trbojevic was particularly impressed by Halasima’s game, with the 20-year-old finding a spot in the team at centre after playing most of this season from the bench.

“He is just incredible,” added Turbo. “It’s amazing that he has only ever played four games at centre with the way he is performing.

“It just seems he has everything to play in that position. He is incredible to watch and the more he plays the position, the better he will get.”
